Is an exchange for me?
Experience. Learn. Travel. Grow.
Becoming involved in a reciprocal exchange experience can be an incredibly rewarding and life-changing experience. You will have the opportunity to travel, experience a different culture, make new friends, learn a new language, and foster your independence.
There is also work involved. You must be open and welcoming to a visitor in your home. You will need to keep up with your studies and make an intentional effort to take advantage of everything a new culture offers. This may mean stepping outside your comfort zone - trying new foods, meeting new people, and stepping away from some of the things that you have grown accustomed to at home and at your own school.
An international exchange experience looks good on a resume and can certainly open doors for your future, which you may not have even considered.
