To apply for a 2019 Summer Exchange Program please follow the steps outlined below.

All documents must be submitted by no later than March 8.

For Registration Fees and Program Fees, refer to Current Pricing for more information.

Step 1

Adults who are 18+ living in the host home(s) must apply for a Vulnerable Sector Check with your local police department using the provided Volunteer Letter.

Step 2 - Toronto DSB Students ONLY

Download, and fully complete all forms within the TDSB Registration Package.

Step 2 - All Other Applicants

Download, and fully complete all forms within the Registration Package.

Step 3

Submit the following items directly to the ISE Office via Letter Mail or Email Attachment at

  • Completed Registration Package
    • Registration Form
    • School Recommendation Form
    • Health Form
    • Conditions of Participation
  • Recent School Report Card / Transcript
  • Registration Fee

Note: We accept Cheques or E-Transfers for the Registration Fee. Credit card payments are not accepted.

Step 4

Download, and fully complete the Application Form. Please save the Application Form to your desktop and insert your photos into the PDF document.

Step 5

Note: This step only applies to students whose time is shared between two homes. If this does not apply to you, disregard this step.

Students whose time is shared between two homes must submit an application for each home. Parents living in the second home must complete and submit the Second Household Application Form.

Step 6

The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board and ISE-Ontario are working together to provide an opportunity for Grade 9 (or higher) students participating in the Summer Exchange to earn a secondary school credit. This high school credit is offered at no additional cost and is designed to enhance and complement the learning that naturally takes place during the exchange.
