The Summer program offers students aged 13 to 17 the opportunity to participate in:
A 3 Week Exchange with a partner from France, Switzerland or Quebec!
A 3 Week Summer/Fall Exchange with a partner from Switzerland!
A 4 Week Exchange with a partner from France, Spain, Italy, China, or Germany!
Ontario students spend 3/4 weeks visiting their exchange partner and host their partner for the same duration during the summer. Ontario students receive a language and cultural experience of their host destination and visiting students receive an English language experience while here.

Go Abroad Early to Late July, Host Late July to Mid/Late August
|Students complete the application process with the required signatures, registration fee, and Vulnerable Sector Checks and submit to the ISE office by March. Throughout March, successful applicants are matched with students of similar age and interests. Students then receive information about a proposed partner and submit acceptances by late March.|
|April to May||Approximately one week after acceptance, students and their parents begin communication with their exchange partner and family. The final payment is due in May.|
|Early to Late July||Early July, Ontario students depart to visit their partners. Late July, the Ontario student and their exchange partner travel to Ontario together.
|Late July to Mid/Late August||Mid-August, the 3-week French/Swiss/Quebec exchange partners return home.
Late-August, the 4-week French/German/Spanish/Italian exchange partners return home.
Summer/Fall 3-Week Exchange
In addition to our 3-week Summer Exchange with Switzerland, we offer a summer-fall 3-week program for ages 13 – 15 in the French-speaking canton of Vaud.
The Swiss partners will arrive in Toronto early July, and stay in Canada until late July.
Canadian partners will leave for Switzerland early October, and return to Toronto late October.
While in Switzerland, participants will attend classes for one week and then enjoy two weeks of school vacation time with the Swiss family.
